Avatars of Destruction possess a volatile disposition. They thrive on chaos and decay, and their horns and plated scales are as hard as forged metal. Because of their affinity with darkness and the destructive forces of nature, it was once thought that these dragons were omens of ill fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Named after a human deity of war, Bellona thrives in the thrill of conflict and violence. Unfortunately for her, the clan that she belongs to has no intent to launch any conquest or indeed any sort of offensive war, and thus her only opportunities to bathe in the blood of the slain are the occasional small-scale conflicts and the very rare defensive wars against invaders.

With her bloodlust barely in check and the chances to unleash her fury so few and far in between, it is only natural for Bellona to be feared within the clan for her foul tempers, and to be looked upon in awe when she does get the chance to brutally submerge herself into the joy of battle.
