Ochredrakes are a curious species with a wide array of mutations and interesting behaviors. Not as intelligent as normal dragons, they only breed with other drake species. While they may not be bright, ochredrakes are flamboyant and fun-loving with amazing, chirping voices to sing with, and tame readily in the presence of a gentle hand.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

User Description

Pigmentious is often found digging in the dirt, particularly red ochre soils, but sometimes yellow ochre too. She is actually quite helpful, because the pigments are useful to artists. All the town's artists regularly give her candy, which means she regularly comes to visit them, essentially bringing a free pigment delivery on her scales. Some days, she has been seen carrying madder around, though where she gets the plants remains a mystery. No one who grows madder have noticed any plants missing from their gardens, so it's probably somewhere outside of town.

Sometimes, Arementum follows Pigmentious out to where she digs and collects the pigment for export. Pigmentious is suspicious the copper because she doesn't give her candy, but does scratch her in that one spot on her back that's always itchy. This is odd because all the other dragons who like to scratch her also give her candy. This discrepancy causes her distress.
