Ochredrakes are a curious species with a wide array of mutations and interesting behaviors. Not as intelligent as normal dragons, they only breed with other drake species. While they may not be bright, ochredrakes are flamboyant and fun-loving with amazing, chirping voices to sing with, and tame readily in the presence of a gentle hand.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

Fallowtail, or simply Fallow, is a Ochredrake. True to breed standards she isn't quite bright but she makes up for her lack of knowledge with a pleasant nature. Fallowtail mainly stays with the other two drakes, Dusk and Golden, the three are sometimes said to look like owls. Fallow is more of a creative dragon and can be seen trying out different tricks. Despite her not being bright, Fallow is possibly the most creative of the dragons and she learned it all just by watching and mimicing. She had learned to use a stick to get insects, using a rock to crack hard-shelled nuts, and how to store certain foods. She is very fond of berries and small insects like ants and termites.
