Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

When she was only a Striped dragon hatchling, Hina du Taiki snuck out of the cave and was caught in a tremendous storm. As a result, she became lost, and wandered for days until she finally collapsed from hunger and exhaustion.

When she opened her eyes, there was another dragon standing over her.

The older dragon brought Hina to a concealed cavern in a nearby cliff. There, she met several other residents: Hastha, an impassive Gray; Ken, a Daydream who never spoke; Jiren, an irritable Sunset; and Lujira, her Guardian rescuer, who looked quite dejected. None of them seemed inclined to speech, so Hina took it upon herself to breathe some life into the dismal cave.

At first the others grumbled and glared, but she glared right back, and within a few weeks they had learned to accept the earthy vines and branches she draped around their home.
