Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sasame is a very hyperactive dragon. He used to land on his owner's head to greet her. It was his way of traveling, he never left the owner's side. Due to this he is one of the favorites in the owner's eyes. He is grown and still hasn't grown out of his habits. He is a Happy-Go-Lucky dragon and can get along with most of the dragons in the cave. He treats some dragons in the cave as his siblings. He likes flying around the mountain terrain behind the cave. He likes to stare at eggs and play with the hatchlings. If the hatchlings have grown wings, he teaches them flight and the proper ways to fly through the sky. Being the fifth dragon of the clan he has a lot of respect and is treated as second in command.
