Deep Sea Dragons, as their name suggests, spend most of their time in the darkest depths of the sea. They have a bioluminescent dorsal spine that serves to attract prey and communicate with their own kind. As with many deep sea animals, they generally eat whatever they can manage to bait. They rarely leave the ocean floor, surfacing only during breeding season. When they do choose to travel to the shallower depths, they avoid bright lights and will only come up far away from shore.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

The abyss, despite all mystery is boring to those living there. There is little activity and social lives are faily non-existant. Amidst the infinite water there is a perculiar dragon: Zurgulxa. He is not so much a part of the clan as a seasonal visitor. In the winter, when the colder waters and darker skies suit him he travels to the edge of the marshes in the roost's territory. Zurgulxa brings with him treasures and trinkets from the depths. His coming makes a week's highlight for the group, and occasional gifts to the newborns stirs up excitement in the young. The planks of long lost ships, coral, shells, from his deep home go into the paws and maws of land living dragons. Most are exchanged though for "treasures" of the dry world, and watery goods have been happily traded for "foreign" meals, stones, charcoals (Oh do they taste horrible to carry down!) etc. He is bored with deep sea life, filling his time gathering for trade goods that can attract company as well.
