Deep Sea Dragons, as their name suggests, spend most of their time in the darkest depths of the sea. They have a bioluminescent dorsal spine that serves to attract prey and communicate with their own kind. As with many deep sea animals, they generally eat whatever they can manage to bait. They rarely leave the ocean floor, surfacing only during breeding season. When they do choose to travel to the shallower depths, they avoid bright lights and will only come up far away from shore.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

The Dragonreaper is rivals with a great many other legendary beings. Among these are Leviathan, Bahamut (who, in traditional mythology is a giant whale, not a dragon), and the Kraken. All three of these would lay siege to the island if it were not for rivalry between themselves as well, and for Xeok. Xeok is a fantastic match for all three of them, though not all at once.

Most dragons on the island are completely and blissfully unaware of the deep sea battles between Xeok and those three kings of the sea. They are often oblivious to even Xeok's existence. However, the Advocate and a few other dragons do know of Xeok and visit him by a cave that reaches deep into the depths of the ocean, that has a second opening to which Xeok has access to. That is the closest Xeok ever goes to the surface, halfway between utter darkness in the bottom of the sea, and halfway toward the top level. In the darkness of the cave, the light in the middle range does not bother him.
