Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Future Era Productions is known for plays that are full of action, elaborate effects, and enough explosions to give the actors hearing damage, but somewhat lacking in such details as characterization and plot. Most dragons find the plays entertaining enough in small doses, but less so when they're the only thing being offered. Still, there are always enough interested in the latest spectacle to keep attendance high.

Yiviok is generally cast as the villain. He might exist mainly to be killed by the hero at the last possible moment, but he still usually manages to be the most interesting character in the play. Unlike Macsin, who gets variations on the same basic plot, Yiviok is always given some new and interesting scheme for Macsin to foil. When not acting, Yiviok helps out the overworked illusionists with the other currently running plays.
