Two-Finned Blunas are a very social breed of dragon, living in packs of dragons called “pods.” Blunas are very curious and playful creatures and several dragons in a pod will often “play” with one other, chasing each other around, tossing seaweed back and forth, and riding ocean swells. They are occasionally seen swimming alongside whales and dolphins.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Headstrong and determined, often to the chagrin of her teachers, the new Avatar prefers doing things her own way. When she isn't learning how to master all four elements (Water, Earth, Fire, and Air), Korrastorm loves competing in the 'Pro-Bending Tournament', a sport played by two teams of three and each team has a fire user, a water user, and an earth user. The object is to knock all members of the opposing team out of the ring.  Her team is the Fire Ferrets, consisting of her and a pair of brothers, Makkoflame and Bolinstone. To complicate things, both boys have feelings for her, and she returns them, even though Makkoflame technically has a girlfriend already. Oh, what's a girl to do
