Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

The "Mirage Spirit of the Wind", Mirikikaze (or Mirra), was an icy dragon, living in winter skies. She was blessed to meet a young white dragon named Alexandra, but didn't like Alex's spicy friend, Kurot, one bit. Each year Mirra swooped down to spend time with Alex, in the trashy outskirts of the ugly gray city her friend lived in. Mirra would tell Alex about the rest of the world, and once, Alex told her she was leaving the city. Mirra said she would follow, and had, in the disappearing winter sky. On the travels, Kurot had fallen into a chasm, and Alex, tired and near death, laid down to mourn. Mirra had known of a dragon who could help. As snowflakes, she drifted into Eef's cave, where Dante, the storm dragon, lived with Eef. Hearing the ice whisper, Dante flew out and rescued both Kurot, who'd survived by landing in a long river that led to the sea and to Eef's mountain, and Alex, who was dying. Mirra came to like Kurot, for the red had lost almost all memory after awakening.
