And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Pump wants to be accepted by the other Halloween dragons as being as scary and frightening as they are. She has decided that the most feared group among all the Lurkers and Graves and Marrows are the Gar-Leks, although they technically are just a cooking group. So Pump spends most of her time scuttling around Lice and Tivo and Spuk. Although she stays clear of Dwaren since the Despisis started to loudly contemplate the possibility of using Pumpkin as a spice.
