White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Yuu grew up with rather a skewed impression of his importance in the weyr. He spent years thinking that everyone was talking about him behind his back, but it wasn't until he learned how to read that he realized his mistake. One might expect Yuu to be conceited, but he's really rather insecure—the end result of thinking other dragons were saying, "I just don't know what's to be done about Yuu."
