Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It is a deep shade of crimson.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Lithium is an incredibly energetic hatchling who can never seem to sit still for even a few minutes and speaks so quickly it's occasionally hard to follow what she's saying. She's quite a tomboy, enjoys playing with other hatchlings, even those from outside the Periodic Clan, and has a mischievous side as well which often gets her in trouble. Lithium may sometimes be hard to keep up with, but she's mostly well-liked in the Clan because of her friendly and cheerful demeanor. She hates to watch fellow dragons be depressed and will always do her best to comfort them. Strangely, the active, wild hatchling seems to have a calming effect on those who are upset.
