And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Lil Syzzle, like his father Big Syzzle, is expressive and loud, except for the fact that Lil Syzzle does not understand much of what he is talking about. He simply mimics what his father says and does. This gets him into trouble many times with Kolinaa, the motherly figure of the clan. Yet Lil Syzzle continues talk and talk, no matter if it makes sense to him or not. If his daddy says it, he figures, then it must be okay.
