Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Electric yellow scales shimmer brightly across its belly, and an even brighter spark adorns its tail.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Yevnira is, unfortunately, a bit of a bully.  She loves to pick on dragons smaller and weaker than herself, and (even less forgivably) on Dragontown's children, shocking them with her electricity.  Luckily, Dragontown's pygmy dragons are well able to take care of themselves, and there are enough of them to provide a (willing) guard for the human children.  After an encounter one night with Grywan and Kalkabek, Yevnira seems to have reformed somewhat, and at least tends to leave humans alone.  She still picks fights with Storm Sparrow, but the little gray dragon seems to love having a rival.
