Dorsal Dragons are so named because they have large fins along their backs that can be raised and lowered at will. They use these fins to regulate body temperature; they raise them to cool off when they become overheated. The bright colors on the fins double as a means of attracting mates.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

When Khou was a tiny little hatchling, his mother let him wonder on his own, while she gathered food for their family. Unfortunately their mother had gone too far, and Khou could no longer smell her. Under the given circumstances, he lost his way back to their shelter and had to wander alone in the cold, windy valley. By the time he learned how to protect himself, Khou would be long dead, if it weren't for a human noticing the weak, famished Finn hatchling chewing on a leaf in a side of a road. The human took Khou in and nursed him back to health. When it was time for the tiny hatchling to leave, he refused to go by chewing through any ropes or cloth that held him away from the human. And so, till this day Khou has been living with her, time from time even now enjoying chewing on a plant in his owners garden.
