Dark green dragons, once they mature, appear to become an entirely different species. However, this isn’t true. Rather, they burrow underground and get nutrients from their vines. These vines are sometimes referred to as Dragon Grass. These dragons are very violent, and will use their vines to capture, kill, and eat anything that moves, as well as nearby plants. Luckily, their range is limited and they cannot use magic. Dark green dragons tend to be easy to spot since they usually kill all plants around them and thus are usually surrounded by a large clearing.

Born from the pairing of Supernova male The Darkened Cove and a Vinetooth dragon, there was a short dispute between Azzina Vinetooth, leader of the Vinetooth clan and Tamira Brightwing, leader of the Supernovas clan over who would keep the dragon. Tharanmar of Fallensnow intervened with a compromise: The Bordervine would sit on the border between the two groups.

However, ever since he had been planted there, Bordervine has resented his parentage. He longs for the love of a mate and children, for the companionship and support of a clan, but most of all...he wishes to change his wretched birthright and his not only cross-clan, but inbred parentage.
