Wary of all strangers, the elusive Amalthean Dragons cloak themselves in mist to avoid detection. The water sources they live near are astonishingly clear and pure, and have been found to contain medicinal properties. These dragons are known for their ability to cure any disease, wound, or poison, as well as the purification of any water they come across. A blessing from an Amalthean Dragon is said to increase longevity, though they are very selective of who they will heal. An Amalthean’s horn grows from the same wood as a White Dragon’s staff and is highly sought after for its ability to channel and store potent life magic.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
Divulgation is one of the Water Workers serving the noble family Wain in the kingdom of Crule. They are called nobles, but Divulgation would say that the term isn't... well, he tries not to dwell on negative feelings about them in case someone can tell what he's thinking. Other servants have been punished for saying critical things about their masters, and since Divulgation has the strongest healing magic of them, he ends up repairing a lot of wounds. He would like to leave the Wain family and Crule entirely, but he feels he owes them, since they adopted and brought him to their clan. He's the son of a khusa and skysilk and was abandoned for looking wrong, and the Wains warn that he would have nowhere else to go if he left them. During a moment of doubt, the head Wain even brought Divulgation's parents to see him, who told him they didn't miss him and were glad to be rid of him. He's deeply saddened knowing this, and he's thankful he has a home and job.
