Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Schneeregen wants to show all his friends the beauty of winter and practises his powers as often as possible. Whenever it so much as rains, he does his best to drop the temperature and turn the rain into beautiful snow. Being very young means his magic is very weak, though, and even during the cold months, the best he manages is a half-frozen kind of sleet.
