Geode Dragons are closely related to Stone dragons. They are covered in a hard stone-like material as well as beautiful crystal. Their wings are entirely useless for flight, but they help attract mates. The dragons with the most brilliant and colorful crystals are more likely to mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Crystal Glimmerstone, or Crystal for short, is a young Geode dragon. She and Amethyst Glimmerstone were found by Sapphiro Glimmerstone as eggs, and since all of his children lived in different clans, he adopted them as his daughters. Taking after Sapphiro, she has what qualifies as a British accent by dragon standards, is very intelligent, and teaches the hatchlings how to read and write with Sapphiro and Izar. Her best friend, Nova, is Izar's daughter, whom is the ruler of the clan. Crystal and Nova often go to Drakeville's library to take any unwanted, old books back to their clan. She currently has no specified mate, but thinks that Toronado is quite handsome, and the two will often hang out with Spotty and Doc Volt to test out inventions.
