This breed of dragon results from eggs or hatchlings that have been neglected. They are usually rebellious, not obeying their masters, sometimes even attacking them. However, their neglect as a hatchling leaves them crippled, and they are weak compared to other breeds, causing them to stay with their masters for protection.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

The least and smallest egg of a water walker mother, Cherish was stolen from its cave when it had only just been laid.  Unfortunately, the human that picked it up had an eye for experimentation and left it alone and untended for most of its development.  The hatchling that emerged from the water walker egg was stunted, snappish and ill-tempered.  As it grew its wings, they came in tattered and half-formed; it never expressed any gender characteristics.  The name seems the final affront -- it is ridiculous that its name is "Cherish", of all things, when it was never cherished at all.  And yet, now that it is an adult, the human visits it frequently and speaks to it tenderly.  Its anger and rage is deeply ingrained, but most of the other dragons in its cave are friendly and helpful, and it occasionally expresses a childlike sweetness and wonder in the world.  These demonstrations are rare and quickly hidden, as if it is afraid that it is only opening itself up for more disappointment.
