Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Vicky comes from a long and proud royal lineage. Her ancestors were all kings and queens and there is no dragon more blue blooded than her. So naturally there is no dragon more fit to rule over all the dragons in the land than her. Other dragons just smile and shake their heads at Vicky's dreams. Yes, her ancestors were all kings and queens—in fact some of them were the same kings and queens—and sadly that inbreeding had caused quite a few delusions of grandeur.
