Among the most elusive of dragon breeds are the Aeon Wyverns, a breed whose innate control over time mana marks them singular and great. They are able to peer into the multi-dimensional plane of time, seeing all that is, all that has been, and all that could be—within a small localized zone. When utilizing particularly strong magic, the black markings carved into an Aeon’s body glow a bright cyan, painting them in an ethereal blue light. In the past, they have been sought after as oracles to bring swift resolutions to major conflicts, but it is in exactly such sorts of times that they are nowhere to be found; rather than influence the outcome, Aeons much prefer to allow the natural order of things to progress, however grim that may be.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Chronomaster is known to appear spontaneously, seemingly through teleportation. When he is asked about it, he explains that something caused time to stop locally and he came in to use his magic to restart it, making it look like he teleported due to time not flowing while he walked in. Since aeons are not the best at directly manipulating time—just seeing through it—he keeps time mana in bottles to use. He fills these bottles from a crack deep in his cavern that slowly seeps the fine powder of crystallized time.

The fact that time is locally stopping concerns Chronomaster greatly, and he is trying to figure out what is behind it and whether it will spread. Currently, the most probable theory is that a local chronoxenowyrm, XxFly, is the one who is causing it inadvertently, but he is more focused on trying to connect it to fallout from the ninja chicken-space chicken wars.
