Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Seregond is an unruly glutton, his little human friend always complains when she is alone with him. His wings are strong enough to hold his weight in the sky, and he has strength enough to turn his human into a pile of dead meat before she could say his name, but he is a plump dragon. Although he does not enjoy being laughed at by the female dragons he courted, he enjoys eating anyway, especially when he is depressed from being rejected by almost all dragons he courts. He has succeeded only to coax one or two female dragons to mate with him, and by offering some food in return. When his human asks him to exercise, he does quite obediently, but it does not seem to help him lose weight in any way.
