Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

User Description

Endurance was named such because of its difficulty with its hatching stage. The egg horn that is common among most species of dragons in their embryonic state was small and stunted, so it had great difficulty ramming through the walls of the egg. The hardness of the egg didn't help, either, and when it finally managed to break free it was exhausted and looked nearly on the verge of death. Fortunately, with a little extra loving care, this little hatchling is robust and bright as ever.
