Aww... It’s a cute baby drake. It seems to like you, although it is very hyperactive and difficult to train.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young drakes are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own.

Velociraptor might be small but he certainly is the most feared hatchling in all of the clan, because he's clever—for an Ochredrake that is. Which means he's clever enough to not attack random pieces of wood and that he goes for the ankles when trying to bring down his huge human prey. He is a fearsome predator for sure, why else would every human that get's so much as a whiff of him, scream the ancient human words of terror: "There's that bloody nuisance again!"
