Mint colored dragons are the most peaceful of all dragons; they only eat plants unless they scavenge meat from an already dead animal. They also have no ways to attack others or defend themselves. They are much smaller than other forms of dragons since they only double in size when they mature. Mint dragons are unable to use magic and cannot fly since they lack wings. Their looks have given rise to the common insult of calling dragons “large lizards.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Xudan is a cute little thing, and it's her cuteness that protects her from predation. Some dragons pull her horns, and some pull her horns while telling her they could eat her, though for her entire existence, no harm as come to her. Xudan could sit in a clearing and shout and stomp; she'd be in no danger, and the sunrise with the long name would come out and drag her back to safety. Despite the kind treatment from other dragons and blessing from her biggest "fan", the sunrise with the long name, she is ever fearful of what could happen if one day she were deemed not cute. Xudan knows that a lot of smart and active dragons study magic or practice a useful skill, so she's been taking on a bunch of tasks, hoping she's naturally talented at or really interested in one or two. People have begun to say that she's decent at a lot of things but great at nothing except being cute.
