Originating from a single species that thrived in ancient times, Xenowyrms have become an incredibly diverse breed whose appearances vary depending on their habitats. Each Xenowyrm subspecies is heavily reliant on the power of different types of mana, making them powerful magic users. Pyros are easily the heaviest of all Xenowyrm subspecies and they use their weight to their advantage. If scorching their foes with flames doesn’t finish them off, Pyros will use the weight of their bodies for sheer crushing power. They create their lairs solely in volcanic regions, where lava and billowing flames are the land’s most prominent features.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This dragon likes to use her weight to shape lava flows out of the active volcano where she lives. By pressing her body against the molten rock, she causes smooth tracks and loops to form that run down the entire length of the mountain.

While Lavacoaster enjoys these for their artistry, others have come from great distances to slide down the tracks in an exhilarating run. There is some danger to it, as safety rails are not in place. If any of the visitors fall off the track and get hurt, Lavacoaster decides whether to help them or to make a meal out of them. Most who know about this bring mana as a gift for her, to improve their odds of survival.
