Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Silver females eat meat only when a male dragon brings it to them as part of courtship, though they are typically highly-independent. They possess an almost magical aura that lights up any place they are in, and are looked upon with awe by humans and animals alike.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

As a silver hatchling, Resplendent Reena was brought into the clan by Ovid Overcast.  She matured within minutes of joining the clan; it was learned later that she was originally on her way to join another clan.  Ethereal Dawn almost took Ovid's head for this.  Luckily, the other clan's leader was a little disappointed but accepted that Reena matured within this clan and there was nothing that could be done about it.  Although her joining the clan brought a tiny bit of drama, she was soon accepted by the clan and found a mate in Ezelonder EverWing.  Because her entrance into the clan was unconventional, she suffers from low self-esteem, even though the other dragons love her.
