Grave Dragons are not named for their connections to death or burial, but for the grave expression on their faces. This strange expression is used as a defense mechanism that causes fits of panic and terror in potential predators. Since they only eat ash and charcoal, they do not hunt. Grave Dragons are powerful fire-breathers and have been known to burn down forests and villages alike to make meals. It is believed that the markings on each Grave Dragon’s wings are the faces of those who have lost their lives in fires started by that dragon.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

This dragon was found as a hatchling by the clan after a devastating fire ravaged a nearby jungle. The finders, naive to the reputations of Grave Dragons, took him back to the seaside cliffs they called home. The Matriarch of the clan opened her eyes for about a few moments and nodded her acceptance, making the hatchling a member of the clan. She went back to sleep like all pillow dragons do, leaving the other members of the clan with divided thoughts.

Unlike those who found him, some were acutely aware of the species's antics, and a few were even victims to their flames. However, the words had been spoken, the hatchling named by the Namegiver. He was staying until he caused trouble...

And he did, lots of it.

His name became Lumindarl and from birth he could not take off his sour expression, that were as grim as his moods. He was a pyromaniac, and even as the fires raged, he did not smile, but he was careful to keep them in control-- lest he lose the only family he's ever known.
