Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Inichi is liked by all of the dragons he lives with and is usually the one sought out when help is needed. Although he is still pretty young, he is very wise and enjoys reading scrolls. In his spare time, Inichi likes to practice his aerial tricks and when he has finally gotten a very tricky stunt down, he will gather all the dragons together and show them. The frozen hatchlings who have their wings often attempt the stunts they see him do but Inichi discourages them to do it telling them that the stunts he perform are very dangerous and can lead to injury. And so, because he has discouraged them from doing the stunts he's performed, Inichi instead teaches them simple and harmless tricks.
