White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Lys is a kind and gentle older healer. Unlike most Whites of the clan, he doesn't spent his time in the healing caves but down at the sea. In his youth, when he was barely more than a hatchling, he met the Deepsea Grima, who had run ashore and was on the verge of dying. After saving Grima and making sure that she could return to her natural habitat, the two developed a strong bond of friendship.

As Grima is a very adventurous dragoness and consequently gets into trouble quite a lot, Lys decided to stay close to her and the other aquatic dragons who counted themselves as members of the clan, to serve as their healer.

Although he seldom sees his mate and children, Lys doesn't regret his decision for a moment, enjoying his special role and the respect and love the aquatic dragons hold for him.
