Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

There's a strong temptation among the more social of the Zephyrus Couriers to become dreadful gossips, and Xodia is apparently no exception.  Most of her stories revolve around the dragons of Clearlake Weyr—a place of endless passion, intrigue, and mystery, if she's to be believed.  Xodia can keep a crowd entertained for hours with her latest thrilling tales, describing the weyr and its inhabitants in exquisite detail that some dragons have been tempted to seek it out themselves.  Clearlake Weyr exists only in Xodia's mind, though, its stories dreamed up over many days of travel as a way to keep herself entertained.  She's such a masterful storyteller, though, that even the few dragons she's entrusted with the secret find it hard to believe she made everything up.
