You were right, it’s not the same species as the other eggs. So if it’s not a dragon, what is it?
And look, it’s gotten bigger! Maybe it will reach its full size soon.

"Lavender Gooms!  You can't be serious."

Lavender Gooms may or may not be the real name of the dino nicknamed "Aunt Tit" (yes, he's male, no one's quite sure where the name came from).  He was stunted at youth by an overdose of caffeinated beverages, so he's never quite grown to his full height.  That being as it is, most dragons in the nearby caves seem to think he's an adorable little scamp, never mind that he's older than half of them.  He accepts being picked up and passed around like the runt of the hatchling litters with the sort of resigned acceptance generally only seen in certain varieties of annoyed lapcats.  When pushed past all acceptance, Lavender will occasionally deliver a good thwack on the snout with a shoe-clad foot and scarper off to nurse his wounded dignity.
