Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Implode hatched in a most unusual way- his egg's shell seemed to shrink into itself, tighter and tighter, until it finally burst inward and disintegrated into tiny bits and pieces, with Implode sitting where the egg had previously been. Implode is very much like his egg, for he will take things into himself- pieces of conversation, suggestions, occasional remonstrations- and wait for the opportune moment to explode into anger and use them all as evidence for how the entire clan is secretly conspiring against him. Needless to say, all of the dragons became very gentle with him after his first implosion. He's quite a sweet dragon the rest of the time, and no one wants him to erupt again, so he's looked after like a very big hatchling.
