Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Veil of Night is rather dark and mysterious in nature, hence her name. She's very aloof and prefers to keep herself to herself although she does keep a fondness for the company of her storm dragon mate Overcoming Darkness even if he does have a bit of a hot temper. When he's in a mood, Veil of Night will keep to the darkest shadows of the cave waiting for her mate to cool down which tends to take a long time. She thrives at nighttime, loving to fly among the stars with the moon casting a silvery light onto her black body. During the day, her black scales absorb the heat from the sun all too easily, leaving her extremely hot and exhausted so she sleeps during the day until the cool of night comes when she adds her own magic to the magic of the night.
