Stone Dragons have a tough outer covering made of a stone-like material. They eat rocks, using the minerals they contain for nourishment and to keep up their stone outer shell. They rarely move, and are the heaviest of all types of dragons. Although they have wings, indicating flight ability, no one has ever seen a stone dragon flying.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Dah is a sweet dragon, always dreaming that she could have a better life. Being able to fly is her one goal and so far her weight won't allow it, even her strong muscled wings wont hold her up. Dah is also known as 'Dah the Dumb' by most of the hatchlings and some of the adult dragons in her clan. They laugh at her and tease her about how she could even hope to fly with so much bulk of rock attached to her. But Dah will never give up until she can laugh at all the dragons that called her stupid for thinking that she couldn't fly. Dah will fly, and when she does every dragon, every clan member around the world will see that Dah is special, that she can do impossible things, just like the rest of them.
