Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Though he resides in the Igam Clan, Igam Thuwed (known as IT by those who know him, to avoid confusion with Igam Eldest) is no offspring of Magelicus and Necromanter. Rather, he is descended from the famous Thuweds. He came to live in the Igam Clan because of his search for those of his species. Rejecting most other tribes for one reason or another—most of the time because of their magical inferiority resulting from their domestication—he settled in the Igam Clan. IT mentors all Magi Dragons in the Vox, and others who seek his advice. In fact, it is widely regarded as fact that it was because of IT's teachings that Igam became such an adept master of the magics, also imparting his personality.
