Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Gauner has been the nuisance of her clutch since hatching. She picks fights only when she sees fit, but is protective of the eggs and the hatchlings or 'whelps.' Very mischievous by nature, Gauner has pulled many a prank on her friends and those who are unfortunate enough to stumble into her territory. Gauner admires Blitz on a very deep level, and though they have already had many eggs, she doesn't think he knows how much she cares for him. Gauner is also the oldest of the Lukile Black Dragons. She has become much more sober over the years, though she does dabble in a practical joke here and there for the amusement of others.
