Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This dragon was born into good family and enjoyed a perfectly normal and happy childhood, until one night, before her coming of age, she disappeared into the moonlit night. They say she lost more than her way under the full moon that night, but who's to say what is truth and what is tale when the only one who knows the truth speaks in riddles and dreams in quiet insanity. She rarely communicates with the other dragons, but she smiles a lot at nothing and no one, and the hatchlings find her eerie silence and queer grins nothing short of terrifying. Most dragons give her a wide berth, save the mad son of a minor lord, Lunacy of Rats, with whom she can often be found keeping quiet company with, along with her mate, Psykotique.
