Ice Dragons are fierce predators who hunt using their extremely cold breath. The breath of an ice dragon can freeze its prey solid in seconds. The body of an ice dragon is so cold that icicles will form along its skin no matter the outside temperature.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Icrin lives in a city entirely of dracons, alongside his mate Aciarix. While young, he was among the most popular boys in the entire school. He once was in top contention for the shallow water Kmakarap, but since her fall from glory he never admits to even know her name.

Icrin is usually kind, but is constantly overprotective of his mate. It is rare to see either without the other nearby. It is known that Icrin is not comfortable if any male is closer to his mate than he is. He is almost never on duty to patrol the border between his kind's land and the hostile human lands to the southeast, because he is always focused on Aciarix.
