Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

When Rasti crawled out of the egg, she was greeted by her curious older siblings. However, they laughed at her because she was much tinier than newborn hatchlings are supposed to be. She always stayed small, and any time she told her parents her siblings were making fun of her, they just told her they were playing around. She felt ignored and as soon as she got her wings, she ran away from home.

Now she is part of the Veda clan, where no one makes fun of her. She is afraid of ever having children though, for fear of making any child go through the same terrible childhood she had herself. Still, deep in her heart, she longs to have a little baby Rasti running around the cave.
