Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Derlite is a very nice dragon, and is not as scary as other dragons think. Not all dragons think he's scary though, like his mate Deril. They've been together for as long as they both were born into eggs. Derlite spends his time with Deril in the mountains most of the days. But sadly, those times are over now. Deril left their cave not very long ago. Now, Derlite is alone in his cave, with just an egg that isn't even his. He believes now that Deril's gone, he's doomed to an eternity of depression and shame. But no, Derlite's life wasn't over. Him and the other dragon in his cave actually started a family together now that she's a adult, and now Derlite is as happy as a dragon could be.
