Cheese Dragons are not actually alive. They are enchanted items of food that act almost identically to dragons. They have no need to eat, but they must “live” in humid environments or they will dry out and harden.

Mozzarello Cheddar, or Motzie for short, is a young Cheese dragon. Like his adoptive brother, Colby Cheddar, he is a professional chef, and is Colby's assistant and co-worker. He helps Colby teach other aspiring dragon chefs how to cook, but the two are almost complete opposites. While Colby is more cool-headed, laid back, stern, cautious, and mature, Motzie is more tough, immature, brash, lazy, competitive, athletic, and is a huge prankster, like when he put stink bombs in all of the cooking pots on April Fools' Day. Colby is worried that he might be a bad influence on their apprentice, Jack, but he doesn't seem a bit fazed by his reckless personality. He isn't as skilled as Colby at cooking main courses, but makes up for it with his amazing desserts. He currently has no specified mate, but is constantly trying to impress the females.
