Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. This hatchling seems to be filled with a fell, inner flame.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

A member of the Unlucky Thirteen, Bach was needlessly frozen before his wings could grow in, yet chooses to identify himself as a male. Born the child of two of the most ferocious dragons in the clans, Bach's peaceful and cowardly nature differentiates him from his breed and his family. It took a long time for Bach to get the courage to leave his parent's nest, and even longer before Bach could bear to approach other hatchlings. Soon, Bach found the love of his life, Em, whose endless faith and confidence in him lead for him to become a founding member of the Thirteen. While Bach is intensely loyal to the group he leads, he constantly feels unworthy of the post of leader, and will frequently request assurance from others that he is making the right choices. Bach is terrified of the future, as a wingless hatchling is dependent on the clan, and he fears one day he and his companions will be chucked out into the wild, yet he knows he and his new family will find a way to survive together.
