Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Difficult to see at first because she blends so easily into the large mound of golden coins upon which she rests, this dragoness is a shimmering solid ray of sunshine coated with liquid gold. Each scale is a polished plate of precious metal, rippling over smooth and sinewy muscles like sun-washed water. She is calm, serene, her movements deliberate in execution with a slow sense of patience and dignity. Regal in bearing and graceful in form, she is a creature of lovliness, and she strikes awe into the heart of any onlooker with merely her presence. Yet she is exceedingly shy, preferring to stay well within the cave and behind the safety of the others. And they guard her fiercely. Even those who would do no harm are prevented from approaching. Rarely, but every now and again on a suitably sunny day, she will creep on silent claws to the mouth of the cave, where she spreads her wings and catches the full light of the daystar in a blinding radiance before seeking the solitude of the skies.
