Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Dusan approaches magic in a mystical and intuitive manner. He talks to spirits, and sometimes they do things for him. This approach isn't as reliable as Barb's rationalism, but when it does work it can produce some astounding effects. He has also studied the matter of calling on the power of the weyr's founder-god Ferwe, and believes the right hatchling could do it.

Dusan also fills Ferwe Weyr's need for a spiritual adviser. He has no real doctrine to draw on, and his training has mostly been of the "learn as you go" sort. Dragons, however, tend not to need much advise on spiritual or religious matters, and his ethics are the same as the majority of the weyr's dragons. Dusan's ability with spirits and the spiritual realm gives him some special authority, but he rarely uses it.

For a long time it was thought that Dusan would go unmated. Eventually, however, he found his permanent mate, Dewit, a dragon as interested in spirits as he is, but in a completely different way.
