Dragons are creatures with nearly unlimited life spans. They can survive for long periods of time, and no one has found a dragon that has died of old age. Adolescence is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Once they hit adolescence, hatchlings change quickly, maturing to their full forms in only 2 years.

Dragons don’t communicate with each other verbally, but they will growl to scare off predators and frighten prey. Young dragons will emit an extremely high-pitched squeal when they are frightened. To communicate, they use telepathy with each other and to speak to other creatures.

Hellfire Wyverns are so named for their foul tempers and fiery visages. Their social structure places all females above all males, due to superior physical characteristics and violent dispositions. Forced subservience of the males causes them to become vicious, petty, antisocial, and passive-aggressive compared to the aggressive and social females. However, orphaned hatchlings raised by foster parents of another species can develop surprisingly even tempers and mellow dispositions, proving that their defining unpleasant nature is, in fact, a learned behavior.

Rav was born to wreak destruction to the humans for killing nearly her whole family. Rav was never violent in any way until her mother who was famed for many casualties among the humans, was hunted and killed right in front of her. She broke out into an enormous rage and destroyed everything in her sight. In her early life, Rav was a very aggressive girl to others and was often isolated from everything, till one day she met Pebbles. Pebbles was the leader of the famous Death Cave and noticed that she had nobody to turn to. Seeing a poorly nourished youngling wandering alone, he took her in to be taught the ways of a true giant. Rav was always very angry and aggressive to everyone. She hated everything living. Pebbles finally sat her down and finally taught her about what revenge would get her in life. And he gave her the opportunity of becoming one of the elite guardians to finally show her the good side of life.
