Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Duskglider is a Black Dragon, and like most of his breed,a mighty warrior. He is feared by humans and dragons alike, for he is ferocious and powerful and shows no mercy towards his opponents or people who provoke him. The only creatures he will never harm are hatchlings and very young animals. He is (strangely) extremely protective and loving to his owner and her other dragons, terrifying people who approach them and killing any he feels intend to harm them. He is also mentor to Rose Satin, teaching her the ways of a warrior. His punishments are stern, and after he caught Rose Satin bullying some hatchlings, he gave her a severe thrashing and forced her to train for an extra three hours. He has also found a potential warrior in PearlWave, though the Ocean dragon is a peaceful creature. His son, FrostFlyer is also his most ardent pupil, taking after his father in every aspect except appearance and fondness for his family. His son's cold, detached behaviour is a source of worry for him.
