It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.

Tulis is a talented poet, and singer- rather modest, he normally keeps to himself, and is very shy, stuttering when talking to other female dragons, and losing his train of thought when trying to think of other topics to talk about with his friends. Most of his clan members like him because he is very kind, and he always manages to think of the most beautiful poems, which astound even the hardest critiques. Despite being as talented as he is, he is never proud of his gift with poems and singing, but he is very grateful that he manages to please others with his skill.
